A faster lifeline for families navigating autism care.
When the system makes families wait months, we help children start therapy now.
Immediate access first. Long-term stability second.
We step in immediately
We cover the upfront cost so care can start now—no waiting for approvals.
We coordinate and support the process
We help manage the administrative path families are forced to navigate.
Reimbursement cycles back to help more families
When state reimbursement begins, those funds cycle back into the nonprofit so we can support the next family.
The state eventually assumes ongoing care
Over time, responsibility transitions to long-term systems, and we step back.
The Problem
In the United States, autism services are governed state by state—filtered through agencies that decide eligibility, reimbursement, and timelines. Families seeking ABA therapy, occupational therapy, specialized schools, or in-home support are often told to wait months before care is approved.
Some wait as long as six months.
The Mission
We start care first—so children don’t lose time.
A Work in Progress exists to remove the delay between diagnosis and support. We front the cost of services immediately so therapy can begin right away, while we help families navigate the reimbursement process.
“The system is almost designed to wear people down. A lot of families give up—and that’s what the state is expecting.”— Kris H, Founder
